If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms and Lookups
Contact forms and Lookups are intended to help members of the SARL find each other. We ask that you use good judgment and discretion when sending messages to other members on the list. Please do not use information found here for the purpose of commercial promotion of any kind. SARL does not bear any responsibility for any actions or policies of third parties.
All registrations are voluntary. The only individuals listed in Lookups are those who have registered themselves here and meet the current requirements for SARL Membership. SARL does not add individuals to the database, therefore if you do not find someone in Lookups it is because they have not registered themselves with SARL.
The Lookups section of the website allows you to post your name, e-mail address, ICASA callsign and other information permitting SARL members to contact you. You may at your own discretion delete, update or correct this information at any time by going into your entry and logging on with your User ID (your e-mail address) and with the password you selected.
Please remember that when you voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information (such as your first and last name, e-mail address, ICASA callsign etc.) in Lookups, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other posters or third party entities. SARL is not responsible for who may contact you by using this information.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive a file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
